Expecting a bare-bones stay, I was delighted by the charming decor and cleanliness of my room. The location is perfect, right in downtown, and the shared bathrooms were immaculate. Breakfast at the restaurant was a treat, featuring delicious plates and warm service. This place strikes an excellent balance between price and comfort.

Here’s the good and the not-so-good

The historic charm and spotless decor truly surprised me. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the location couldn’t be better for exploring the town.

On the downside, there was no elevator, and the shared bathroom was somewhat cramped and dated, which might be uncomfortable for some.

i had a great stay at athabasca! the location is perfect, right in the heart of town and close to everything. our room was spotless and comfortable, and the receptionist was super nice, even upgrading us for our anniversary. the lobby's old charm is really inviting, and their breakfast was tasty!
